What can I do to support honeybee habitat?

In ecologically-responsible beekeeping, we all play an important part.

Whether you’re a beekeeper or just a friend of the bees, here’s what you can do: 

• Provide a variety of flowering plants.
• Chose plants native to your area since they are nature’s choice for diversity and resilience.
• Plant flowers that provide nectar and pollen in all seasons.
• Protect bees from toxic pesticides.
• Identify and remove invasive plant species without using toxic chemicals.
• Provide a water source.
• Buy local honey to support your beekeepers.
